Just say no to ICANN
It's time for a DNS network that isn't controlled by ICANN. OpenNIC has the right idea but the site appears to be dead. I don't want my personal information in the whois and why should people have to buy their domain names anyway. With a free open-source DNS network people could even create their own TLD zone extensions, such as http://marsha.blog/ or whatever. ICANN has been dictating the DNS system very poorly, completely ignoring consumers. It wouldn't be too difficult for volunteers to create another DNS network, please let the revolution begin! |
